Viewing and Editing Subsystem Contents

You can enter the subsystem view of a subsystem in the model workspace to view and edit the subsystem contents.  You can also edit the icon for your subsystem.

To view and edit subsystem contents:

In this view, a broken line indicates the subsystem boundary. You can edit the connection lines and components within the boundary and add subsystem ports.

Alternatively, to view and edit the contents of a subsystem, you can right-click (Control-click for Macintosh) the subsystem in the model workspace and select Open Component.

You can also change the icon for a subsystem or custom component through the Icon View.  This includes moving ports, as well as adding text and illustrations. For details, see Customizing Icon View of a Subsystem.
