 slope
compute the slope of a line

 Calling Sequence slope(l) slope(A, B)

Parameters

 l - line A, B - two points

Description

 • The function slope will compute the slope of a line determined by two points, or by an equation.
 • The command with(geometry, slope) allows the use of the abbreviated form of this command.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{geometry}\right):$
 > $\mathrm{line}\left(l,y=3x+5,\left[x,y\right]\right)$
 ${l}$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{slope}\left(l\right)$
 ${3}$ (2)
 > $\mathrm{point}\left(A,1,8\right),\mathrm{point}\left(B,-1,2\right):$
 > $\mathrm{slope}\left(A,B\right)$
 ${3}$ (3)
