1-D Mechanical Library Overview

This library contains components to model one-dimensional rotational and translational mechanical systems.

Rotational Components

Type	Description
Common	Basic 1-D rotational components, including housing and inertia
Bearings and Gears	Bearing and gear components for 1-D rotational systems, including ideal gearboxes
Clutches and Brakes	Clutches and brakes based on Coulomb friction
Motion Drivers	Components to control the rotation of a flange using an input signal
Sensors	Sensors to generate a signal proportional to a rotational quantity
Springs and Dampers	Springs and dampers for 1-D rotational systems
Torque Drivers	Components to model torque in 1-D rotational systems

Translational Components

Type	Description
Common	Basic 1-D translational components, including sliding mass, force, and housing
Force Drivers	Components to provide the 1-D force on a flange using an input signal
Friction and Stops	Components for 1-D translational friction and stops
Motion Drivers	Components to control the 1-D translation of a flange using an input signal
Sensors	Sensors to generate output signals proportional to a translational quantity
