Changing the Orientation of an Object in the Model Workspace

To improve the layout of your model, you can change the orientation of a shape or line that you draw, or components and subsystems in the Model Workspace.

To change the orientation of an object

1. 

Select a shape, line, or component.

2. 

From the Model Workspace toolbar, select ( ).

3. 

Select from the available options:

Button

Description

Flip horizontally.

Flip vertically.

Rotate the object 90 degrees clockwise.

Rotate the object 90 degrees counterclockwise.

Alternatively, right-click (Control-click for Macintosh) a shape, line, or component and do one of the following:

• 

To rotate the object 90 degrees clockwise, select Rotate Clockwise.

• 

To rotate the object 90 degrees counter clockwise, select Rotate Counterclockwise.

• 

To flip the object horizontally, select Flip Horizontal.

• 

To flip the object vertically, select Flip Vertical.
